Mathews Nichols Group to Represent Dallas' Urban Reserve Community
1/4/2010

Mathews Nichols Real Estate Group has been selected to represent Urban Reserve, Dallas’ most innovative modern development, according to Urban Reserve developer Diane Cheatham.
“Mathews Nichols understands and knows how to communicate with the savvy client that we had in mind for Urban Reserve,” Ms. Cheatham said. “Their understanding of the importance Urban Reserve clients place on design, environmental concerns and lifestyle conveniences reflects the type of representation that we want for this very special development.”
Mathews Nichols Managing Director Travis Mathews and Associate Mitch Deshotels will co-list the development.
“Urban Reserve is a revolutionary development for the North Texas market that truly captures the lifestyle of the 21st century,” said Mr. Nichols. “The very concept is so far reaching and well-conceived for the modern affluent homeowner, that it is truly history in the making.”
THE MISSION
In keeping with the original mission of Urban Reserve’s developer, owners will work with a select group of architects and endeavor to create a collaborative effort by the buyer, architect and builder (CCM General Contractors), to best utilize the experience and expertise of the architects, and to take advantage of economies of scale and volume.
Rejecting more traditional styles, the 13-acre development has captured the attention of architectural, environmental and real estate experts with its overall concept, location and 21st century design. Each home is sustainably designed, incorporating sensible siting and massing, non-toxic, high-quality materials, efficient systems, and low-impact construction techniques.
MASTER PLAN COMPLEMENTS ENVIRONMENT
Involved in the home restoration and development industry in North Texas for more than 20 years, Ms. Cheatham has carefully orchestrated each stage of Urban Reserve’s development, from the very selection of its unique location just north of Royal Lane on the east bank of Upper White Rock Creek. The topography of the site is gently rolling, with an overall elevation change of 45 feet. Trees are diverse and numerous, including live oaks, cedar elms, pecans, bois d'arc, mesquites and willows. Common green spaces are located strategically to provide exposure to green space for all residents. The entrance to Urban Reserve crosses The Ravine, preserved as open space with a small pond. At the opposite end of Urban Reserve is a small park forming an access point for hikers and bikers to the White Rock Creek Trail, slightly more than four miles north of White Rock Lake.
INDIVIDUAL LOTS
The 50 lots at Urban Reserve vary in size, shape and type ranging from 5,000 to almost 14,000 square feet with available lots priced from $125,000.
