The Neighborhood: Turtle Creek

If one were to assign a personality to the Turtle Creek neighborhood, this elegant yet unpretentious community north of downtown and west of Uptown might be considered the kindly grandfather of Dallas. According to the Turtle Creek Association, which was subsequently formed to preserve, protect and enhance the Turtle Creek Corridor, Turtle Creek comprises approximately 80 city blocks with an unheard of (at least in Dallas) 90 acres of green space. Many grand estates, luxury townhomes and modern high-rises have subsequently risen up over the years to claim this urban utopia as their own.
